Dominic Cummings podcast with Steve Hsu. Steve is literally one of the smartest people in the world, and Dom is good friends with him apparently. Dom talks about living in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union, realizing politicians don’t really try and win elections and haven’t a clue how power really works, explains how power does work, what is the deep state, getting spied on by the Americans, how crap most polling companies are at data science, how it is relatively easy to win elections if you’re bothered, the whole russia/brexit/cambridge analytica/trump conspiracy was literally 100% poof and utter nonsense and yet most people who read the guardian believed it (including me), and why governments don’t work. one of my favorite podcasts in a while, give it a go.
